Description: The session will deal with the issues of Internet Access and the related Infrastructure developments in the Arab Region. Discussions will focus on bridging the digital divide and ensuring that Internet services will reach new segments of population at the regional and international levels. Moreover, the challenges facing the Internet service providers will be discussed, including the increase usage of content such as OTT and Open Data versus the investments in infrastructures. The session will focus also on the requested policies to ensure the freedom of access and maximize the developmental benefits of the Internet.
